Anniversary of George Floyd's Death Marked by Vigil, Demands for Police Reform

After the murder of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police on May 25, 2020, demonstrations rocked Denver for five nights. A year later, a task force released a 112-step proposal to resolve Denver's criminal justice system, described at a rally at City Hall on May 24, then again at a candlelight vigil that marked the one-year anniversary of Floyd's death. Woven through photos of these two events are pictures taken during Denver's protests a year ago.
